As an individual with a deep passion for the arts, I was fortunate to grow up in Dublin and attend Loreto Balbriggan secondary school, where I learned from some of the finest art teachers in the area. While I attempted to pursue a formal education in the arts, I found that it wasn't the right fit for me. Instead, I spent the next twelve years travelling and honing my craft, painting what inspired me and taking on commissioned mural work in various locations worldwide.

I find particular joy in painting people, as each face presents a unique opportunity to portray emotion and personality in my work. My primary medium of choice is oil, the slow drying time allows for extensive blending, layering, and reworking, which can be essential for achieving depth, subtlety, and complexity in a painting. This characteristic enables me to refine my work over time, adjust colors, and develop smooth transitions and gradients that are harder to achieve with faster-drying mediums. I utilize a layering technique to build up each painting to its finished form, and I also enjoy painting animals and sea creatures as a means of exploring the different subject matter.

In addition to my work as a painter, I am also an experienced prop modeller who has had the privilege of working on a variety of high-profile productions. From my beginnings on the set of Survivor in Fiji in 2019, I have gone on to contribute my skills to projects such as The Eternals, The Witcher, House of Dragon, and Napolean. I have also undergone formal training in fine art and creative media, where I have acquired a range of skills, including carpentry, moulding, sculpting, metalwork, and painting.

As an artist, I have had to adapt to the changing world around me, and in 2020, I decided to start my own business painting portraits and animals. I even completed a 2 residencies in my hometown of Galway, which was a wonderful opportunity to grow my skills and explore new creative avenues. I look forward to continuing to develop my craft and sharing my work with the world.
